Hyper-modern Seoul blazing with K-culture, the volcanic beauty of Jeju Island, and the ancient Silla kingdom capital of Gyeongju. Korea's past and future in perfect tension.
The Capital
One of the world's most dynamic cities — ancient palaces beside glass towers, night markets alive with Korean BBQ, K-pop culture and the most refined skincare scene on earth
The Island
South Korea's volcanic island paradise — crater lakes, waterfalls, black lava coastlines, hallabong orange groves, and a slower, deeply Korean way of life
The Ancient City
Gyeongju's royal burial mounds and Silla dynasty temples, followed by the coastal energy of Busan — fish markets, fortress walls and the finest raw fish in Korea
South Korea is one of travel's great revelations. Most visitors expect modernity and get far more — a country with 5,000 years of Confucian history beneath the neon, a food culture of extraordinary depth, and landscapes that shift from the volcanic drama of Jeju to the forested temple corridors of Gyeongju within a two-hour flight. Seoul alone could hold you for weeks.
This 11-day journey gives you the capital at its best, the island escape, and the ancient south before finishing in Busan — a city that deserves far more attention than it receives. Every Lunara Travel itinerary is shaped entirely around you.

Seoul begins the journey in a constant, electric balance. The great Joseon palaces stand serene among the towers, and Bukchon's hanok roofs tilt their gentle lines against a skyline of glass. The days fill with ancient gates and riverside nights, street food steaming on every corner, and the sense of a country whose past and future lean, curiously, into one another.
A short flight carries you south to Jeju, the volcanic island the Koreans keep for themselves. The great shield of Hallasan rises over lava tubes and black-sand coasts, and the haenyeo women still free-dive the cold blue water for abalone. A dawn on the volcanic cone of Seongsan Ilchulbong, a slow day along the basalt shore, and Jeju begins to feel like a country entire.
The road turns last to Gyeongju, the ancient Silla capital, where green burial mounds moulder under quiet trees and the granite Buddha at Seokguram keeps his long vigil. Then on to Busan, the sea-facing city, with its Gamcheon houses stacked in colour, its raw-fish markets, and temples perched on the cliffs above the coast. Korea's old stillness and bright future, held together.
